Nitrous Oxidex in Spring
Nitrous oxide, often called "laughing gas," is a safe, gentle way to help your child feel calm and comfortable during their dental visit. It is a great option for kids who feel nervous, wiggly, or unsure about the dentist, whether it's their first visit or their fifth.
Using a time-tested sedation method combined with modern monitoring and gentle care, we provide a relaxing experience that works quickly and wears off just as fast, so your child can get back to playing, learning, and being a kid.

The Benefits of Nitrous Oxide for Kids
Calm and Relaxed Little Patients
Dental anxiety can start early, and it's completely normal. Nitrous oxide helps ease your child's nervousness so they can feel at ease in the chair. Many children describe a light, floating, or tingly feeling and say the time flew by.
Easier, Happier Visits
Nitrous oxide can help children who are sensitive to sounds, sensations, or sitting still for longer appointments. It can also help kids with a strong gag reflex, making treatment smoother and more comfortable so our team can complete care with less stress for your child and for you.
Fast-Acting, Quick Recovery
Nitrous oxide takes effect within minutes, and its effects fade quickly once the gas is stopped and your child breathes pure oxygen. Your child stays awake and able to respond throughout the visit, and most kids feel back to normal shortly after their appointment.

What to Expect
Before the Visit
Before we begin, we'll review your child's health history, talk through any concerns, and explain how nitrous oxide works in kid-friendly terms. We'll answer any questions you have so you both know exactly what to expect. Please let us know about any medications, allergies, or health conditions, including a stuffy nose or cold on the day of the visit, so we can make sure this option is right for your child.
During Treatment
A small, comfortable mask is placed over your child's nose, and they simply breathe normally. Within a few minutes, they'll begin to feel calm and relaxed. Our experienced team will monitor your child throughout the visit, adjust the gas as needed, and make sure they stay comfortable from start to finish.
After the Visit
When treatment is complete, we'll give your child pure oxygen to help clear the nitrous oxide from their system. Most kids feel back to normal within minutes. We'll review any aftercare instructions with you and schedule your next appointment before you go.
